What this service does
Is It Down Now lets you check whether a website responds from our servers. We perform a real-time HTTP probe to the domain you submit and show status, timing, and approximate host country based on the resolved IP.
Data we process
Domain names you ask us to check are processed to run the probe and may appear in server logs for reliability and abuse prevention. Recent checks stored as “history” stay in your browser’s localStorage on your device, we do not sync that history to an account.
IP geolocation
To show the host country of a website, we resolve its IP and may query a geolocation API. That lookup concerns the remote site’s server IP, not a profile of you as a person.
Cookies and analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics or advertising-related cookies where enabled. Theme preference (light/dark) can be stored locally in your browser.
